As part of Box Hill Cricket Club’s Movember fundraising campaign the club has jumped on their creative side of things to help raise funds for a much needed cause.
On Thursday 30th November, a cohort of club members, parents, and other supporters of the cause will be heading into Century Cricket Centre Blackburn to take part in a 24 hour net session to raise funds for men’s health awareness.
Daisy Jeanes, club member and the one behind the fundraising concept said “We’re really excited to be able to use state of the art facilities at Century Cricket Centres. The exceptional facilities provided to us, and the 24 hour net availability has been key in organising this charitable fundraiser for Movember and we can’t wait to get started!”
The sessions will kick start at their home club Box Hill CC for mens training from 6 – 8pm, and from 8pm through the night until 8am at the Centre and then back out to City Oval to finish the 24 hour session until 6pm. Volunteers will be hitting in 1 hour slots with a variety of bat vs ball and use of machines from midnight through to 6am while at the Century Cricket Centre.
Box Hill CC are still taking donations to this great cause and if you are able to, and would like support their cause, the link to donate is below.
